SHOWROOM
Celebrating the charm of old-world craftsmanship in a beautiful heritage space, we’ve opened the doors to ARCADE: a re-envisioned retail space and flagship showroom for Matthew McCormick Studio and Lock & Mortice in our hometown of Vancouver. A neighbourhood jewel curated for authentic, aspirational living and today’s discerning client, ARCADE is a nod to the nostalgia of days past with the magic of modern relevance.
We welcome guests in-person Monday through Friday between 9 am to 4:30 pm (PST) by appointment. Virtual tours are also available. Contact us!

THE HISTORY OF ARCADE
With walls steeped in stories and layered in legacy, ARCADE occupies Gastown’s notable Le Magasin building - the city’s first shopping arcade built at the turn of the 20th century, originally known as the Homer Street Arcade.
A concept originating in Europe centuries prior, the indulgent joys of shopping in an arcade grew in popularity as communities would gather under the grandeur of arch-covered shopping districts over coffee and conversation. In time, the arcades became more than a transactional buy and sell: they evolved into highly curated, top-shelf shopping experiences for the discerning customer in search of a memorable moment tucked away from the hustle of daily life.
